About Us

De Anza Chapter NSDAR was organized in 1934 and serves the North County Coastal and San Dieguito area, including Leucadia, Encinitas, Olivenhain, Carlsbad, Solana Beach, Del Mar, Rancho Santa Fe, Fairbanks Ranch, Vista, San Marcos, Carmel Valley, and La Costa.

De Anza Chapter meets October through June on the first Saturday of the month at different locations to accommodate special programs during the year.  Meetings and events are usually held at public places conveniently located in North County San Diego.  Most members are from the local area; however, local residency is not a requirement for membership in any chapter.

The purpose of the De Anza Chapter is threefold:

  • Historical - to perpetuate the memory and spirit of the men and women who achieved American independence.
  • Educational - to promote knowledge of American History through essay contests and community events.
  • Patriotic - to cherish, maintain, and extend the institutions of American freedom, to foster true patriotism and love of country, and to aid in securing for humankind all the blessings of liberty.
