De Anza Chapter, NSDAR

Encinitas, California

About Us

The De Anza Chapter, NSDAR, was organized in 1934 and serves the North County Coastal and San Dieguito areas, including Leucadia, Encinitas, Olivenhain, Carlsbad, Solana Beach, Del Mar, Rancho Santa Fe, Fairbanks Ranch, Vista, San Marcos, Carmel Valley, and La Costa.

We meet monthly on the weekend from February through June and October through December for lunch, socializing, and listening to an informative, captivating speaker. Meetings and events are usually held at public places conveniently located in North County San Diego. Most members are from the local area, however, local residency is not a requirement for membership in any chapter.

The purpose of the De Anza Chapter, NSDAR, is threefold:

  • Historic Preservation - to perpetuate the memory and spirit of the men and women who achieved American independence.
  • Education - to promote knowledge of American history through essay contests and community events.
  • Patriotic - to cherish, maintain, and extend the institutions of American freedom, to foster true patriotism and love of country, and to aid in securing for humankind all the blessings of liberty.
