Veterans Administration (VA) Hospital

The chapter collects packages of white socks, undershirts, and briefs as well as paperback books, magazines, and stamped Christmas cards for the VA Hospital. We also provide backpacks stuffed with goodies for hospitalized veterans during the holiday season.

Foundation for Women Warriors

Our chapter supplies needed items and services as requested. Essential development of women warriors is provided at every step to support these outstanding local women warriors with navigating obstacles and realizing their maximum potential after their service career.

Challenged Athletes Operation Rebound Surf Therapy Clinic

De Anza Chapter, NSDAR, members help cook and serve meals quarterly for veterans and service members who suffer from physical or emotional disabilities, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). They participate in surf therapy and then are served a hot, barbeque lunch on the beach.

DAR Schools

We send care packages and household supplies for residential students at the Hindman Settlement School in Kentucky.

Wreaths Across America Ceremonies

Each year our chapter participates in the ceremonies at Miramar and Fort Rosecrans National Cemeteries. We sponsor wreaths and decorate the veterans' graves at both Miramar and Fort Rosecrans.
